What customers are saying:

Colleen, it is remarkable to me that you were able to synthesize the vibe I wanted to create just after one conversation.  You have really brought together a beautiful vision.  I so admire your artistic and creative abilities“. Michelle W.- Naples, FL

Thank you so much for your time and expertise helping me with exterior paint colors for the house.  My husband and I have worked with several independent consultants on various projects and it was so refreshing to work with your level of professionalism and skill set.  You are very talented in what you do and you made the process fun and easy.  Thank you!  Karen S. – Tallahassee, FL

“I needed help with my 1910 Craftsman home and sent photos of the space to Colleen. She immediately diagnosed that there were too many warm colors competing with each other, and suggested a more balanced palette of cooler & neutral tones. She sent me a number of large samples with specific instructions on comparing them in varying lights and against my furniture and fixed elements, namely my floors, millwork & existing area rugs. She also had an idea to change out the window seat cushion, which was something I had not even considered, but it was perfect! I highly recommend letting a color design expert narrow your choices and save yourself costly mistakes in time & money. Colleen steered me in the right direction while allowing the decision to ultimately be mine. I am so pleased with the results! She was great to work with. A virtual consultation worked for me!” Susan M – Lake Mills, WI

“Talented and thorough. Highly recommend!” Kathy B. – Naples, FL

“Colleen, I love the new color.  I did the last wall today and what a difference it makes!!  I told someone, it’s like living in a new place without the hassle of moving. Thank you so much for the input and expertise! Sandi R. – Bozeman, MT

“I’ve seen Colleen’s work at a beach home in Florida. Clean design that creates a warm, comfortable feel. Highly recommend.” Ellen F. – Naples, FL

“Thanks so much for all your help and insight. We now LOVE our kitchen!!” Suzie M – Appleton, WI

Projects and palettes by Color Choice Consulting.

Before: Tired yellow pine cabinetry is magnified by the bright yellow wall paint! Pink beige laminate countertop looks “dirty” and clashes with the “clean” yellow wall color
After: Kitchen updated with Cambria Quartz countertops, Benjamin Moore White Dove on cabinets & Sea Glass subway tile backsplash. Coral pops of color can be changed out to suit owners mood, but the fixed elements are now timeless and here to stay!
Before: 1910 Craftsman living room was painted in yellows & golds was getting”weighed” down with too many warm tones. It made it feel “very Granny” as my client lamented.
After: Benjamin Moore’s Feather Down on the walls now lightens & brightens the space and BALANCES out the warm tones.
Before: Builder beige walls, shop light in ceiling & original appliances. The bulky upper cabinet is cutting off coastal views as well as light! This is a “good bones” kitchen simply in need of a “cosmetic lift”

After: Bulkhead & cabinets to left & above window were removed to let in light and create better flow into adjacent dining area. Peninsula now textured with inexpensive bead board & appliances replaced. Lower cabinets painted BM Steel Wool, Uppers in BM Brilliant White. Existing laminate wood floor lend warmth. The star of the show is the glass backsplash!

Before: Yellow walls, yellow tone in flooring & furniture all add up to too “hot” a space. Oh, and did I mention this room faces WEST and gets glowing orange sunsets? It looked like the room was on FIRE!!
After: Now soft & serene. Benjamin Moore Healing Aloe on walls calms the space.
Table & chairs painted BM White Dove.
Before: How could anyone get any shut-eye with this bright wall color? ! Sleigh bed waaayyy too bulky and out of scale for this tiny bedroom space.
After: Calming sanctuary with the help of Benjamin Moore’s Opal
Exterior before: Light green color on body of house didn’t relate at all to the taupe & violet undertones found in the roof. Lack of landscaping makes house seem sterile and isolated.
After: Sherwin Williams Aesthetic White on Body accented with SW Versatile Gray now “relate” to the undertones found in the roof color. Home is brought forward to the curb with architecturally interesting landscaping. Never underestimate the power of landscaping. It’s the jewelry that finishes off the pretty dress!
Before: ’80s small bath with no appeal needed a pick-me-up!
After: Tub replaced with age-in-place friendly walk-in shower and large mosaic glass tile. It’s like a little jewelry box!
Old oak cabinetry painted Sherwin Williams Pure White & accented with a timeless backsplash. Note: Countertops do NOT compete with the backsplash, Only ONE boss in this kitchen!
Chairs were FREE, but needed freshening up
A fresh coat of BM White Dove & reupholstered seats change EVERYTHING!
